NWD to Dwg

 

1.0            Navisworks Manage to Autocad-export

1.1            Hide objects you do not want to translate.

Have to use 2024 Manage for Plant3d and install Object enablers.

1.2            Export as FBX - Exports each component separately.

1.3            Version as FBX20 1200 and AutoDesk material Version as 2012.

1.4            Use 3dsMax or AutoCAD 2018 only “Import” command and select FBX file.

1.5            Save file if it takes a long time to convert.

1.6            Select appropriate import options. Unit conversion 1”=1” or 1”=38.3701

1.7            Export as Dwg.

1.8            Open in Autocad and check scale and orientation. Scale and rotate from 0,0,0

 

1.1            Run this script in 3ds max to convert the objects to layers and colors. Export the DWG after running the script.

 

1.1.1           Scripting > New Script. Paste this and then in the Script Editor ick Tools > Evaluate All
