When I move over an object the bottom of the AutoCAD screen adds a space between the tabs and bar on the bottom. This moves the object I’m trying to select.
options:
Turn off coordinates. Click on the 3 horizontal bars at the bottom right of the screen.
Right click on the Model layout tabs and pick "Dock above status bar." You will loose some screen real-estate.
