Insert attach Picture into AutoCAD - So it is part of the drawing

If the properties say OLE then it is part of the drawing. If not you will have to include the file when sending to someone who does not have assess to the inserted file.


Insert Picture - Changing Raster Image in AutoCAD to OLE Object

1.0 PROCEDURE 1
Open the image in Microsoft Paint press CTRL-A CTRL-C
Go to the AutoCAD window and press CRTL-P, pick a point. AutoCAD will ask for scale factor and rotation.

If you type “list’ in AutoCAD and select the new picture it should be an OLE, not an Image.
There is a limit on the size of the image around 3000 pixels.

2.0 PROCEDURE 2
From the menu bar select Insert > OLE

Select Radio button “Create from File” > Browse to file and select OK.
