          Type AEPDFFONTALT  and enter OFF

 

Essentially ace2017 has a new system variable that substitutes simplex with another font that is to light.  To get ace2017 to stop substituting this font in batch print use the following command.

1.1          Try upgrading video driver

1.2          Causes:  Incompatible graphics card driver.  Enter the /nohardware switch to test the behavior:

1.         Right-click the AutoCAD program icon on your desktop

2.         Click "Properties"

3.         Access the "Shortcut" tab

4.         In the "Target" field, after acad.exe" type a space and then /NOHARDWARE

5.         Click "OK" and start the program

If this works to get AutoCAD running, then update your graphics card driver and remove the /NOHARDWARE switch. If it still fails to launch, you may need to completely remove and reinstall your graphics driver and/or reset AutoCAD to defaults (see How to reset AutoCAD to defaults).
